Ventanar was created in march 28, 1980, in Bucaramanga Santander, where its original commercial activity was the production of aluminum doors and windows. Time after, the company expanded its production plant, acquiring and remodeling another house to turn it into a production plant with italian machinery and technology, upgrading their quality in products and processes. In 1990, Arketipo was born; an office furniture line that currently counts with its own production plant in Bucaramanga.

For Ventanar, quality has been one of its main factors for establishing itself in the construction market. For this reason, since december 2002, the company certified its production, sales, installation and post sales processes for curtain walls, doors, windows and office furniture, with NTC ISO 9001:2008, ICONTEC SC 1282-1 certification. Currently, Ventanar’s production plant is located in Giron Santander, where they produce and deliver products for projects located nationwide. In 2016, the big scale international project was produced and installed, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
